I have no idea if anyone will participate, but since almost everyone I know is working remotely, I thought some might like a few minutes of mid-day conversation. I know that people attend the #LegalTechMafia breakfasts or the #RiseandRun events to meet each other and I am happy to be the catalyst for that connection, so I am introducing my own version of a #VirtualLunch :) Think of it as a strategy session, a Q&A with peers, a way to make new contacts, or a shot at serendipity. We had a great #VirtualLunch today, Friday, May 20, 2022, thanks to #SpecialGuest Jarem Shook of NetDocuments. My key takeaways were: (1) The right tools to help with your documents matter and make work easier; (2) The pandemic accelerated adoption of the cloud and improved engagement; (3) Legal administrators are critical to driving change at law firms; (4) Firms that embrace change may have an advantage in retaining talent; (5) Firms that are not thinking about how to work smarter, be more efficient, and have fewer touches are unlikely to attract the same caliber of talent as their peers that do; (6) Prospective hires should consider asking about a potential employer's technology portfolio; and, (7) Many firms are now looking to move to the cloud.
